Nach 'tell' steht fast immer eine Person: 'tell me', nicht 'tell to me'. Verwechsle es nicht mit 'say' – man sagt 'say something', aber 'tell somebody something'. Die Vergangenheit ist unregelmäßig: 'told', nicht 'telled'.
