Time words

Now means at this moment. Then means at another moment (usually in the past) .

Example:

I was born in Hamburg. Then we moved to Berlin. Now I live in Rostock.
Ich wurde in Hamburg geboren. Dann sind wir nach Berlin gezogen. Jetzt wohne ich in Rostock.

It is 9 o’clock now .
I got up four hours ago , at 5 o’clock.
An hour ago it was 8 o’clock.

Es ist jetzt 9 Uhr.
Ich bin vor vier Stunden um 5 Uhr aufgestanden.
Vor einer Stunde war es 8 Uhr.

From … to …

from 2014 to 2016 – von 2014 bis 2016

from 6 am to 5 pm – von 6 Uhr bis 17 Uhr

from Monday to Friday – von Montag bis Freitag
