ILZ-Aufgabe – 1

Task / Aufgabe
Write about your summer holiday. Where were you? What did you see? What was the weather like? Did you like your summer holidays?

Here you can see my example of the ILZ-task. You can use the structure of it. It should help you to fullfill my requirements.

Hi! My name is Mr. Osipov and I want to tell you about my summer holidays, especially the time I spent on my bike.

I was very sad because of the last day at school: I missed the school and my pupils much, but I was also very happy to have more free time for discovering Germany on my bike.  As you know , I love cycling a lot: I ride my bike to work, I take part in cycling tours at the weekends, I even ride my bike at night when I travel.

This summer I made a 500-km tour from the Baltic Sea to the Northern Sea. And it was fantastic! I started my journey in Rostock, went to Wismar and finished my first day in Lübeck. But I was so excited that I decided not to sleep and continued riding. Can you imagine riding a bike almost 48 hours?

Old Elbbridge in Hamburg

My next stop was a beautiful city Hamburg, which I like a lot. I have seen Hamburg many times, that’s why I didn’t spend much time there. But I made this cool photo on one of the bridges there. I liked it a lot.

After Hamburg I cycled to Cuxhaven, which was still quite far away and I was already tired. Did I stop for some rest? What do you think? Of course not. I was so happy to see different towns and villages on my way that I wanted to see more and didn’t want to sleep at all. I met interesting people, saw some festivals and celebrations and that was just awesome!

I had a lot of bags with me, so it was a bit difficult to ride a bike.

I finally reached a camping place on a third day of my cycling tour. I was tired and very sleepy. I didn’t take a shower for more than 70 hours. But what could be worse? The worst thing that could happen (and it did happen) was the fact that I forgot a part of my tent. So I couldn’t set up my tent. One man from the camp saw that I have a problem and helped me. He had 3 tents and offered me his tent poles. I always say how helpful German people are and this situation was  another proof that it is true. I enjoyed time in the camp, met many people and rode my bike to see the town. The weather in Cuxhaven was amazing: it was very sunny and warm. It was plus 27 degrees, but it was very windy on the beach.

The last days of my journey I spent cycling to Bremen. I saw a very interesting town Bremenhaven on my way there.  As I came to Bremen, it was almost dark. So I found a place to sleep and went sightseeing the next day. Bremen is a wonderul city, it has a very interesting architechture and so many cool places to visit. I think I will go there one more time.

My final stop in Bremen, I finished my 500-km tour there.

Unfortunately that was the end of my tour, but I hope I will see other German cities, towns and small villages very soon, when the next holidays come.

Thank you for your attention. If you have any question, I would be happy to answer them.
